In Atlanta for the New Year!
It’s my first ever visit to Waffle House - it’s as scary as it sounds.
About to fall asleep in my hotel room in Toronto before flying to Atlanta to fall asleep in my hotel room there.
Getting into Lost.
Adobe Woes
So being the warm hearted geek I am, I decided to surprise AJ and get her an upgrade to Photoshop CS3 for the Mac Pro (I know all the female readers of the blog are thinking, “That’s what I wanted – why doesn’t my husband buy me Photoshop?”). We already own Photoshop CS as part of the Creative Suite which we bought 3 years ago. Since then Adobe have released two upgrades to Photoshop but the...
Christmas Eve
Woo hoo! It’s Christmas Eve in the Jones household. We’ve been feeling Christmasy since we got home from Iceland and I can’t believe it’s Christmas tomorrow morning.
We’ve had our fill of Christmas movies (The Polar Express, Elf, The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2, White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street), we’ve done our Christmas shopping, all the food...

Danny Way: One of my heros growing up
A001 - That’s my ticket number: first in line at the passport office. The 6.25am start paid off.
Doing a clean install of Leopard. Played the back up game and now onto the install.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Sorry for the repeat of the title, but it’s kind of appropriate. Woke up this morning to news reports to stay indoors. Tried to clear the drive way but was fighting a losing battle, so we’re having a day at home. Latest estimates are snow fall between 30 and 40 cms!
There's a Snow Storm Coming
So according to the weather report we are due about 25cm of snow tonight and as I look out the window I can see the snow has just started falling. If I am not at church tomorrow morning, it’s ‘cause I got snowed in.

Stumbled onto Air Canada’s “virtual tour” of the Executive First cabin we like so much. Take a look.
The Elgato Turbo.264
So I bought this little puppy yesterday to play around with. I’d read a lot of good things about it and wanted to check it out for myself. First off, what is it? Well it’s a little USB device that you plug into your computer and it speeds up rendering of h.264 content. Ahhh, come again? It’s a little gizmo that you stick into your computer that...
Sunday lunch: teppan-yaki grill…. Mmmm
Just cooked Thai food for AJ & Charlie. Yum Yum, even if I do say so myself.
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth
Yes, it’s that time of the year again. When friends and relatives who live in other countries want to know what I want for Christmas and I go to Amazon.ca and groan at how poor its service is compared with Amazon.com. But what are you going to do… move to the US? In the mean time, here is my wish list.
Warning: contains scenes of open mouthed “chewing”
Made it home from SFO. Today is tidy the house day.
Stuck at SFO airport for three hours. The joy of delayed flights.
Greetings Earthlings
Wait a minute… I recognise the same witty banter, the perfect sense of design and the names and faces, but what happened to the old blog? Ah ha! Welcome to 2007 people! You aren’t confused, I have made some changes around here - it’s me, not you. Times change, seasons change, technology changes and so do blogging habits. Regulars of www.musthavemore.com will have noticed...
