It’s been snowing all day here in Iceland.
Iceland
So we made it. Had some fun getting to the airport - still not sure why we were so delayed, given we got up at 5am. Never the less, we made it and Air Canada were kind enough to put us in Row 1.
Picture the scene, everyone is quietly sitting in Executive First, we’re the last people to board and as soon as the rest of the J cabin see a baby, there’s a collective sigh released (I...
Made the cut off with 2 minutes - let’s not do that again!
Stuck in traffic. Flight to England in danger.
The MacBook Air
I should state, at the outset, that I was teasing. I do have a MacBook Air in my grubby little hands, but alas, it is not mine. It’s Carol’s. I just have it for a few days to set it up for her before she arrives home. So thanks for all the well wishers (I think I got the same amount of email when Abigail was born) but hold on until I do actually upgrade my Mac.
My initial use of...
In San Francisco for the day. There sure are a lot of people who speak to themselves in this city.
Abigail and I are having the afternoon together at the park. Swings, slides and California sunshine - all a good mix.
At the park in CA →
Just realised I flew the length and breadth of the USA in the last 24 hours. Oh and Abigail celebrated her 40th flight yesterday.
Delayed flight from MCO, drive home to repack, drive to hotel, slide into ditch, get stuck for a few hours, 5am wake up for flight to SFO.
The Spider Slayer
Woke up Abigail this morning and noticed a black thread sticking out of her neck chub. Turned out it wasn’t thread, but rather the leg of a spider. Upon further investigation we found the rest of the spider (dead) between her neck rolls. I fear I may have made my daughter sound like the stay-puff marshmallow man, rather than the mighty spider slayer that she is.
Florida (Again)
I know, I know, somebody has to keep going back to Florida and it may as well be us! The three of us are currently stuck at Pearson as our flight is delayed, but at least it’s a non-stop flight and we don’t have to fly via ORD or IAD (which we normally do). It’s actually a week of the USA - we are in Florida until Wednesday and then Thursday we fly to San Francisco for the...
That’s one cute baby and one talented wife I’ve got. Check out the rest of them.
Does anyone else have the Friday afternoon boredom thing going on?
Shocked at how expensive it is to ship to Iceland!
It’s kind of like mowing a lawn, but different.
A Public Apology
To the 22 people who left us a message on our home phone, we just got them tonight. You see we switched from Vonage which had a really nice system of emailing us our voicemail messages which meant when we were in Norway and you called and left us a message at home, we could pick it up. Which meant we never even checked our voicemail when home (well perhaps once every three months just to empty...
How Happy Am I?
Rogers just announced flat rate unlimited data plans for their cellular customers, which as an iPhone user, who up until now relied on WiFi for his internet access, means I can now have internet anywhere I have cell phone reception. Needless to say, five minutes after hearing the news, AJ and I signed up for the service… for 9 dollars more a month who wouldn’t?
And yes I know the...
The Joneses have now upgraded to HD baby (Blu-ray for those who are interested).
